TAT readers,
This past week, I had the intention of having a working holiday with dear old friends and professional colleagues of our think tank, Narrative Strategies. Yes, we did in fact, do a great deal of work regarding the think tank, in between great food, site-seeing and savoring the few times a year, that many of us get together in the same place. What suffered was my intention to post short, informative TAT pieces in between activities and work, but Boston, Concord and Salem, Massachusetts, were simply too bewitching.
Now that I am back, there’s some critical threats to catch up on, and I will in due time. Most prominent is the US attack on Iran, in support of Israel. According to this morning’s reporting, the BDA (battle damage assessment) says that the strikes may not have been as successful as first predicted. Ironically, it comes on the same day that Trump is crowing about how amazing the strike was. The truth is, the mission was a great success, but only to the point of the capabilities of the weapons used, the intelligence garnered and whether or not, the strike would solve anything at all productive, for peace in the region, the ultimate test.
I will do my best to answer these and other questions tomorrow, as I settle back into my normal routine. For information’s sake, the only other interruption, will be July 1st - 4th, for a visit with my daughter and her spouse, visiting from their teaching jobs, overseas.
As a bit of a spoiler alert, my primary concern with the US strikes on Iran, is that like every single thing done by this administration, there is no thought to, “what comes next.” The Levant, is now, far more unstable than at any time in my lifetime, or at least since the 1973 war between Israel and its surrounding Arab neighbors. This time, Iran is an important cog in the ongoing global, strategic realignment, beginning with the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Another upcoming topic will be the impressive losing streak that our fascist Republican Party has amassed since January 20th. No matter how much the current SCOTUS does for this administration, they are still on an impressive losing streak, related to their Project 2025 agenda (s). No matter how cruelly that the administration attempts to treat our citizenry and other legal residents, all that they achieve is to anger Americans of all political parties and independents. Although most days, we true patriots are made to feel as if we’re “losing,” the truth is the exact opposite. Cowardly mainstream news cowering to Trump and the GOP, do not reflect their “losing” in their reporting. In fact, the truth is that anti-Trump and GOP resistance, is rapidly growing in numbers and in sincere commitment to restoring our republic.
No matter how much cruelty and illegal measures that ICE and DHS employ against our nation, they are light years behind Trump’s campaign promises. Americans don’t frighten easily. We also don’t like being pushed around by thugs at home. Fearmongering may work for the FOX News crowd, but the rest of us don’t live on FOX’s steady diet of fear. Of course, NewsMax, OAN, Brietbart and the rest, are no better. Unsurprisingly, the Project 2025 insurrectionists and creators from the Heritage Foundation, have removed their 180-Day Transition plan from their website. This way, they believe that no one can track their failures.
Frankly, I believe that the Heritage Foundation has entered into a Seditious Conspiracy along with the Republican Party to disembowel our constitution. Their intentions favor of a model of governance, best described as, The four horsemen of the MAGA Apocalypse: Autocracy, Oligarchy, Christian Nationalism and Political Violence. Tracking the dystopian progress of Project 2025 will be another topic of interest in the coming weeks. Like January 6th, 2021, Project 2025 is just another of the GOP’s, coup attempts.
To wrap up today’s missive, I will simply say that leaving Massachusetts, the birthplace of colonial resistance to Britain’s tyranny, was more difficult than ever. While there, Gloucester, held a massive reenactment of the battle of Bunker Hill. Not long ago, nearly the whole state and neighboring New England states, held massive, days-long celebrations and reenactments of the birth of our fight for freedom, complete with Paul Revere’s ride, the “shot heard round the world,” on the old North Bridge in Concord and the battle of Lexington Commons. I was raised on this level of patriotism and this part of our nation, daily speaks to me in low, compelling and patriotic whispers. Those whispers say to have faith in our fellow Americans. I choose to listen.
I’ve long said that there is a line that you cannot cross when attempting to push Americans around, while picking their pockets of their constitutional rights. In my opinion, Trump and his precious GOP, have now crossed that line. They will not like what they’ve uncovered by attempting to oppress us into Putin-like serfs. Those who continue to support this administration and its party, will learn a great deal about accountability when this coup is beaten back under the dark, damp and slimy rock that it crawled out from under in the first place. Yes my friends, I highly recommend a trip to the East Coast, where you can still walk the paths of our Minutemen, read the inspiring words of our courageous founders, and feel the pounding heartbeat of patriots, still willing to defy tyrants, just like their forefathers.
All-in-all, last week was the “shot-in-the-arm” that I’ve been needing. Like you fine folks, perpetually fighting to retain the republic we have come to love and cherish as our home, can exhaust much needed strength. I’m now refreshed and ready to see this fight through to victory. I haven’t the slightest doubt, that all of you are as well.
Now, off to your evening and I will finish unpacking. We all have work to do tomorrow.
My very best to everyone,
Paul
Hi Paul,
Glad to see you back on line. You had gone dark for so long I thought you had been thrown off the web again for your repeated and gratuitous slanders against the duly elected government of the United States. I hope you enjoyed Boston. Walking the streets of Beantown should remind everyone about what it is that all of us patriots are fighting to preserve. Cheers, Doc B
Welcome back Paul.
Seems like you had a great time.
From the beginning of the current turd reich, I have always believed it would not be successful.
It is not that I don’t believe that they are not trying to change the government to their advantage, they are.
But this regime is made up of conflicting groups each with its own agenda. They eventually end up fighting each other.
Like you I believe that they also don’t look at the consequences of their actions.
They seem to believe that everyone will simply comply. Sure they planned to handle any opposition but they thought that in time they could simply bully and overwhelm them into compliance.
America has always fought. Perhaps not everyone in the beginning was equal, but marching, boycotting and civil disobedience seems part of the nation’s fabric.
The other factors that they did not take into consideration is how large the resistance would be and how intelligent the “elite” are in comparison to them.
It is going to take time to defeat them but the resistance is pretty resourceful and stubborn.
I think the biggest problem that the resistance has is how to defeat the doomers in our group. It seems many are not familiar with the constitution and basic civic class information, so everything appears hopeless.
I think some are just trying to get clicks and create anger and despair comments. But other times I think it is part of a misinformation and disinformation campaign. It is hard to trust anything on social media nowadays.
