Paul, I am reminded of words from the ending of Part One of Kushner's "Angels in America" when
the Angel descends into the reality of the Main Character's world and says: "Greetings Prophet;
The Great Work begins: The Messenger has arrived." We are at that intersection now. We must engage in the great work that lies within our reach. Thank you for your year end/year beginning words and our need to be both present and involved.

Perhaps we do get a third republic. But there’s literally nothing left in D.C. that does not need to be taken down to bare metal, and I’m not sure our national hot tank is big enough for the job.
