DeSantis vs. the embodiment of the American dream

Today’s test run is my first post since my left wrist’s reconstruction last Friday. It will be quite short, but stubbornness demanded that I write something. As you can see in the photo, my left fingertips can barely reach the keyboard due to the cast. Fortunately, Ron DeSantis, Trump, MAGA etc… keep me inspired to talk about real American threats, not the made-up nonsense, underpinning the MAGA hate and fear-mongering campaigns against real American values.

Today, Disney announced a lawsuit against Cruella DeSantis, to protect themselves from the un-American and anti-constitutional requirements placed on Disney’s Florida operations.

The Great American narrative, based on our founders and their values, have been at war with MAGA since Trump came down the now infamous escalator, photo op in 2015.

MAGA, which dominates the GOP, has since launched a full-scale war against real American values like, equality, diversity, morality, religious freedom, guarantees to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” Few modern American corporations, embody historical American-values as well as Disney does, at home and abroad. States like Texas under Greg Abbott and Florida under Ron DeSantis have worked harder to destroy the American and Disney narrative of America, “up by the bootstraps success and leading from the front on the social issues that have come to define “Western liberal democracy.”

For those that embrace our founding values and the modern narrative of them, as so often seen in Disney productions, DeSantis, Trump, Abbott and the whole MAGA crowd are a combination of every anti American, immoral trait found in all Disney villains. For those who watch Disney films, there’s a lot of Cruella de Ville, Scar and Ursula in Abbott and DeSantis and not one ounce of Aladdin, Fievel, the Lion King or Moana in them. In fact, MAGA is not only assaulting Disney, but everything Americans hold dear, like, freedom, opportunity, protection for the oppressed, fairness etc.

Mickey and fellow Disney characters have stood up to all of the threats facing America, in one form or another, especially during WW II where we experienced much the same as we do now… Fascism vs. Liberty. The big difference now, is that now, DeSantis and Abbott types are assaulting Mickey, and have become the fascists.

Those backing MAGA, or its henchmen like DeSantis and Abbott, are really backing a full-frontal assault on Mickey and friends, as well as the nation that provides the moral underpinnings of their adventures. If you back America, backing Disney in their fight with Cruella DeSantis and his horde of MAGA villains, is the right choice.
