If you’re on the way home from a long holiday weekend, doing chores in the yard or whatever else, this is my relatively short podcast with the Lincoln Project, recorded prior to the 2022, Midterm elections. Our 2024 election situation is even more dire, and it is important as a motivational tool, to know what we’re up against, between the ears of GOP voters. We don’t have to protect ourselves from them because they are Republicans, but because they have been brainwashed to believe in the fake patriotism and fake American values that FOX and MAGA preach round the clock for thirty years.
This podcast will help everyone to understand that GOP voters will undoubtedly vote for Trump and his fake patriotism/ un-American agenda. They can’t help themselves due to “brainwashing.” It’s called Narrative Warfare, and our entire national security community has failed for decades to understand it. Hence, we are unarmed against the far-right extremism that aims to destroy our constitutional republic. Like the Minutemen on Lexington Common at the beginning or our War for Independence from Britain, it’s up to us, the citizens who prize our democracy to rise to the occasion. In 2024, it’s not muskets but ballots, that are the decisive weapon.
