Put an end to the GOP/ MAGA/ NRA murder spree, via assault weapons.

Uvalde is a little over an hour away and Southerland Springs, about the same, in the opposite direction from my home.

Few things trigger my PTSD/ TBI depression more than school shootings. For family, friends, community and in fact, humanity, the scars are painful and deep. Whether it is war, gang violence or other illicit activities, children are still dead, maimed and emotionally scarred for life. I and others who have spent a great deal of time in combat zones, know this pain all too well.

The disgrace in our nation is that we are not at war and our children are supposed to be safe. They are not, not anywhere, especially in our schools. The words that I have on days like today and after another preventable school shooting, are not printable.

Here’s a little TAT essay about my Texas GOP Congressman, Tony Gonzales. If it infuriates you, it should. When you consider that the entire GOP is beholden to the gun lobby and apparently to Russian Intelligence as well, if it does not anger you, I don’t know what else to say. It was the NRA that was caught funneling illicit Russian Oligarch money into GOP Campaigns, during the 2016 election. They also had a love affair, with Maria Butina.

Here in Texas, the GOP often sends their kids to private Christian schools with armed guards and far more that in theory keeps them safe. No one is safe in an America infested with weapons of war. NO ONE!

Today, I am beside myself with frustration and depression. Thank goodness for meds. When will American voters have the courage to say no to the NRA and their subjects, GOP/ MAGA voters? Before the next shooting, the next tragic massacre or will we have to wait until elite politicians experience what the rest of us do?

If not now, when? If not you, who will stop the madness?
