As I often say, these types of military exercises, are more show than actual, advanced training. They are meant to communicate to the outside world, the potential consequences for aggression of any sort towards the interests of a nation. It's also true that these shows are also to train cooperation between allies They do try to learn from each other.
In this case, Russia's miserable and unprofessional performance against Ukraine, in "Putin's War," China has nothing to learn from Russia. Since China's military has never been tested and still struggles with some basic concepts of going to war, there will be little to learn from China either.
So, let's all sit back and watch Putin and Pooh beat their chests over their massive militaries, that have achieved precisely nothing. Based on current events, the only audiences doing more than popping popcorn for the show, are their own domestic audiences. Even there, the interest and sense of pride Putin and Xi are chasing, will be elusive.
