What Mr. Cobaugh may not have had time to go into was the Russian plan to build Eurasian influence that dates back at least to the mid-1990’s. Their goal is a multi-polar world where the U.S. is no longer a major pole of influence. One its main architects is Alexandr Dugin, a co-author of Foundations of Geopolitics (English translation available) and a major thought leader of Putin. (His Wordpress site also has an English translation) The plan, since shortly after the fall of the USSR, was to subvert the US from within, leveraging racial, cultural, and ethnic divisions to destroy our ability to buttress liberal democracy in Europe. How do you suppose that’s going? They found the weakest link, who exceeded all their expectations, a needy, self-interested stooge. The rest you can read when Paul gets a chance to write about it. Or you could read it in the grin on Putin’s face after trump’s obsequious meeting with him in Oslo.
