We have discussed this lack of contemporary protest music at length here in the House of Chaos, and agree 100%. The music is necessary to communicate the mood and to lyrically summarize the underlying rationale in plain, ubderstandable ways that can't be accomplished through written or spoken words alone. We need artists to channel and amplify our righteous outrage, especially within younger generations. That's what the musicians of the late 1960s and early 1970s did for the anti-war and pro-civil rights movements.
