When it comes to India under Modi, it's Caveat Emptor
A replay from July, in the wake of India's assassination of an Indian living in Canada

Here’s the link to the article: Can anyone in the National Security community please explain to knowledgeable Americans, why Modi's India, is a trustworthy ally?
TAT readers,
In the wake of India’s likely murder of an Indian living on Canadian soil, today I am replaying an article from July about, why we should not blindly trust India under Modi, with our national security. I will be writing on this again in the near future due to several more recent developments. India may be technically the “world’s largest democracy,” but during Modi’s tenure, he is converting India into a harsh, racist and authoritarian state. His party, the BJP operates with what is called, Hindutva which is the Hindu form of violent white supremacy here in the US. It is quite literally, his official party policy.
Glad to see Trudeau not mince any words here and call spades spades. Seems starkly juxtaposed to two episodes.
1) around 2015-2017, Turkish goons seemed to go after dissident Fethullah Gülen. Members of Trump administration seemed on board, indeed illegally lobbying for extradition and so forth.
2) The death of Russia diplomat Michael Lesin in 2015 seems clearly a Russian hit. Yet the Obama admin failed to clearly call out this murder on US soil. Obama wasn’t nearly tough enough on Putin and we’ve all paid a price since.
