Texas has Seceded from the Union... again.

My best for everyone’s Friday and the upcoming weekend. Today, something for y’all to reflect on over coffee, tea or an adult beverage, at some point during the weekend. Today may be about Texas, but the same exists in every state in the Union, on some level. This is in the simplest of language, the most serious of national security threats.
This Friday’s TAT comes from a very deep place in my heart, from family tradition and from the manner in which I was raised to adhere to oaths, promises, commitments and honor. Like all human beings, I haven’t always gotten this right, but continue to strive towards, ever-higher standards. In today’s case, I’ll discuss the un-American disgrace that Greg Abbott and his TX GOP ideology, has heaped onto the good people of Texas. It is my citizen’s responsibility to advocate for true US and Texas values, not Confederate values. Today I advocate against actual and implied Texas secession.
I’ve been promising y’all shorter posts all week. This time I actually managed to keep my commitment.
Part I
Truth is what people, organizations, movements, states, nations and alliances do, not what they say in public statements.
The TX GOP is not patriotic, it is secessionist, and their ideology is little different from the South’s leading up to and throughout the Civil War. In fact, all that has changed is their methodology for implementing their Confederate values and that this time, Russia backs the secessionists, not the union.
The Texas based, right-wing extremist NRA, a massive pillar of support for the TX GOP, was convicted of funneling Russian money into GOP campaigns for the 2016 election. No statewide, GOP candidate or elected representative, levied criticism. TX GOP congressmen, rarely vote for Ukraine funding due to being national GOP sheep following National GOP leadership to slaughter. Russia spent thirty million on the 2016 election, much of it Russian.
Besides the deep manifestation of the NRA in GOP TX politics, second only to the influence of big oil, “Hot Wheels,” (one of the pejoratives used by Texans for Abbott) is now again, in open conflict with the Federal government over alleged, border security issues. We continue to experience and accept abuse of our tax dollars by Abbott, in political stunts regarding the TX/ Mexican border. Buses and flights to northern or perceived “Democratic cities” along with the pervasive and equally failed, Operation Lone Star. This is simply another of many stains on the honor of Texas, imposed on honest Texans, by the far-right TX GOP/ faux conservatives.
In the last several days, under orders from Hot Wheels, the Department of Public Safety, State Troopers along with the Texas Military Department took over a section of the border and denied access to the CBP/ Customs and Border Patrol. It is the CBP who are the legal, constitutional authorities responsible for the border, not Hot Wheels. Now there is a standoff between two armed military forces over control of the border. On the Texas side, the DPS is also playing along, illegally. It is clear that it is Texas who is not only violating the law, but once again undermining and ignoring the US and Texas Constitutions.
Hot Wheels and his TX Taliban are pursuing a WCN/ White Christian Nationalist agenda, empowered and supported by Oil Oligarchy, the precise opposite of what our founders wrote into our constitution. This was the same pursuits of the South leading up to our Civil War. Then, it was cotton and other types of oligarchy that fueled the WCN that underpinned secession.
Now, safely ensconced within the pages of the 2022 TX GOP Platform is an actual outline of their intended Oligarchical Theocracy. Here in this embedded link, are just a some of the most glaring unconstitutional agenda items of the fake patriots, falsely calling themselves… conservatives.
I have written on multiple occasions outlining some of the most heinous items of the platform’s anti-constitutional agenda, so will simply include these links below for background. As many of you already know, I receive a great deal of flack for writing truthfully and from an expert point of view. Today’s post will likely, as in previous pieces cost several subscribers but subscriptions, are not the reason I write. The more of us that deal with reality and facts, the sooner we solve the problems and threats facing our nation and global stability.
This piece is about showing that despite the baseless bullshXX spewing from today’s Republican Party (not conservative party) they are not patriotic. They are sheep, brainwashed over thirty years by entities like FOX News, GOP leadership and the cooperation of professional influencers. This is another topic all-together that I have written extensively about. No, I won’t go down that long path here today but will again, leave a link or so below, should you have interest.

Let’s sum this up and get to the weekend.
Texas does not get to claim to be patriotic when their actions define them as secessionists pursuing an un-American agenda. Just like seeing your doctor for a compound fracture, the Doc doesn’t get to tell you you’re being treated for indigestion. Reality gets a vote. Any reasonable person would simply say that they would never see this doctor again, but that is not the case with today’s TX or national GOP. For reasons explained in a couple of the included links, especially the one on “Brainwashing.” In the Trump era and even prior, the right continues to try and tell us that they are the patriots, when every action says the opposite.
The simple truth is, that no one can be a patriot while actively working to overthrow our constitution. Lining up the TMD/ Texas Military District, whose troops have sworn to protect and defend the constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic” are not only breaking their oath but the law. The orders are not what the military calls, “lawful orders” so there is no obligation for troops to follow them. I highly recommend that these troops at the border in the control of the TMD review this issue, and which everyone is trained on when entering the military. They cannot be ordered to violate the constitution.
Putting on a uniform does not make you a patriot. Honoring your oath to the military and nation faithfully does. The TMD and the DPS are both failing their oaths.
Hot Wheels, Lt. Dan or a.k.a. Danny Goeb or Dan Patrick, AG Ken Paxton, House Speaker Dade Phelan and the TX Supreme Court are all fake patriots too. Their legacy will be shame, along with those perpetuating the false patriotic narratives of the secessionist TX GOP. I moved to TX in 2005 when things were less extremist but heading in that direction. Hoping against reality that things would improve, even here, I fell in love with TX.
I still love her but will now, as my oath of service demands of me, continue to speak against the seditious and secessionist disgrace, of the only party to run this state for the past thirty years. It’s not a matter of left or right D vs. R or conservative vs. liberal. It comes down to right vs. wrong and partially, reality vs. conspiracy theories and false narratives. Either you support the constitution, or you don’t. Hot Wheels and the secessionist in Austin, do not.
If you see these issues in your home state, the remedy is the ballot box, speaking truth to power, resisting apathy and actively taking part in this great experiment, willed into existence by our brilliant and courageous founders.
