Thank you for the comment. I don't agree with all that you say here but... America still allows free discussion unlike the adversaries that we and the rest of the rules-based, international order face.
Your mini rant (I have had several, writing on this platform) does contain a morsel or two that I can agree with, partially. For example, yes, as Pres. Eisenhower warned, the US "military industrial complex is warlike, for profit. Their hold on strategic decision-making is achieved via lobbying and convincing senior leadership to continue investing in what is more profitable for them and does little or nothing to advance peace, stability and more.
Now, the part that you will likely not agree with. Yes, our history in dealing with slavery, civil rights and indigenous populations is humiliating and beyond disgraceful. We did not though commit genocide against 300 million indigenous. We did though allow profiteers to influence the US to commit partial genocide against certain of the US's indigenous populations. This is just a oversimplification but there isn't enough space in these boxes for a full reckoning. Not all Americans allowed or participated in this approach. Labeling all America as genocidal war criminals is false and frankly, insulting. Yes also, we are dramatically overincarcerated but, this is due to a deviation from empowering citizens to uphold our founding values. Here in Texas, the extr
No, the US is not still pursuing the Monroe Doctrine. If you believe me in error, please show your evidence via credibly sourced links. My posts are for intelligent fact-based discussions between people attempting to, "leave things better than they found them."
I brainwash no one and I seriously doubt that you can form a coherent argument with evidence that I am attempting to do so. Still, I will entertain your thoughts with supporting evidence. In case you haven't noticed, I advocate for no belief system, save one (American true values), including political parties. That is a basic American freedom.
You must do a great deal more homework if you believe the absurdity that "Only Americans sings songs about and worship flags while we live in a violent and deteriorating, never ending, war state." This is another false statement and again, somewhat insulting.
I have no idea where you live and what your sources of information are, but your statements are a hybrid of anarchy, chaos, and unbalanced understanding of the US, our true values and intentions. You have also failed to allow credit for the advances we've made over the centuries towards a better representation of our founding values. Analysis and commentary should be fair, accurate and well-sourced.
Thank you again for the commentary and I look forward to further debate. Please remember that appreciate a healthy debate that is accurately and credibly sourced.
